Preparing images for printing
Good printed results depend on the source image, print size, and the requirements of the print service.
Pixel dimensions matter
A picture that looks fine on a small phone screen may appear soft when printed much larger. Check the available pixel dimensions before choosing a physical print size.
Avoid assuming one resolution fits all
Printing requirements vary with print size, viewing distance, paper, and equipment. Ask the printer or service for its recommended dimensions and format.
Be careful with enlargement
Increasing pixel dimensions or file size does not recreate missing original detail. Review enlarged images for blur and artifacts before ordering prints.
Preserve originals
Keep a high-quality original copy and make a separate export for printing. Check crop, orientation, and color expectations with the printer.
